Our History


The beginning
In 2019, Muskan Verma, driven by her passion for Indian cuisine, opened Tandoori Hut in Benalla. Her vision was to bring an authentic Indian food experience to Australians while sharing the rich and vibrant flavors of India with the local community. Tandoori Hut quickly became a go-to destination, offering a warm and inviting space where residents of Benalla and beyond could savor the true essence of Indian culinary traditions.


Growing
As the restaurant grew, Chef introduced seasonal specials inspired by regional Indian cuisines, giving diners a taste of everything from the spicy curries of Punjab to the delicate flavors of South India. She also expanded the menu to include vegan and gluten-free options, making Tandoori Hut a welcoming place for everyone.


Online Order
In 2022, Tandoori Hut launched an online ordering system, making it easier for customers to enjoy authentic Indian flavors at home. With just a click, Benalla locals could savor their favorite dishes, bringing convenience and tradition together.


5 Years Celebrating
In 2025, Tandoori hut Benalla celebrated 5 years of operating. First store opened in Australia on 19 Jan 2020
